India Development Relief Fund (IDRF) in collaboration with ISKCON is running a mobile healthcare van that travels to a tribal village every day and provides free primary healthcare services. ITCT has been chosen as the implementing agency and every day this healthcare van provides free treatment and medicines to around 100 patients. Currently, this service is available in the Jhargram district of West Bengal and we are planning to start similar service in other tribal-dominated districts.
Magma Foundation, the charitable arm of Magma Fincorp collaborated with India Tribal Care Trust and distributed 6000 meals to Amphan victims of Sagar island and also mid day meals dry rations and stationery kits to 1000 pathshala students in Bagmundi, Purulia.
Ashraya Hastha Trust a very reputed and credible charitable trust from Bangalore, Karnataka collaborated with India Tribal Care Trust and distributed cooked meals to Yass cyclone victims in Odisha & West Bengal. In this massive food drive 40,000 meals were distributed over a period of 15 days in Namkana, Bakkahli, Sagar island &Jaleswar. Also Akshaya Hastha Trust came forward to distribute dry rations to 640 tribal families for 1 week during the second wave of Covid in the deep forest of Prakasam & Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.
Punjab National Bank Agartala branch recently donated school furniture for one of the schools run by ITCT in Agartala as per their CSR initiative. These schools were handed over to ITCT by the education ministry of Tripura government just before lockdown. ITCT renovated these school building and classroom and made it usable to conduct classes
ONGC, a Government Of India Maharatna Company donated an ambulance for tribal healthcare project of India Tribal Care Trust. This ambulance will be serving the rural tribal communities in Purulia and will be used to transport patients from village to city hospital in case of medical emergency.
